Cambodia expelled more than 10,000 foreigners involved in online offences over two years!!!!

Foreigners involved in online offences have been expelled from Cambodia in the past.

Phnom Penh: Cambodia expelled more than 15,000 foreigners involved in online offences in more than two years in the seventh session of the National Assembly, according to Deputy Prime Minister Sakha, Minister of the Interior.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated this on the occasion of the opening ceremony on the exchange of experience in combating technology fraud and money laundering offences on Wednesday, October 8, at the Ministry of Interior's Ministry of Finance.

He mentioned: "The expulsion of these foreigners reflects that the Legislative Government pays high attention to online offences."

The Deputy Prime Minister also said that in the sixth term under the leadership of former Prime Minister Hun Sen and Mr Sa Kheng, more than 21,000 foreign interior ministers have also been expelled from Cambodia per term.

He also highlighted that Cambodia is not alone in taking responsibility; he suggested that countries explore each other to jointly crack down on online offences.

He said: "The evolution of online scams is advanced compared to five years ago, which is different.

The participation of the Secretary of State, Deputy Secretary General of the Secretary-General, Secretary-General, officials from the Cambodian Police Station Academy, Deputy Director General, Chairman, Vice Chairman of the Department, Provincial Capital Police Commissioner, speakers, members, and other relevant officials were also present.

At a meeting of the Phnom Penh Metropolitan Police on Tuesday, October 7, the Governor of Phnom Penh, Mr Khuong Reng, mentioned that technological scams (ONLINE SCAMS) have been suppressed by approximately 80% in Phnom Penh.
