Cambodia earns nearly $20 million from ticket sales for foreign visitors to Angkor Resort and nearby areas!!!

Nearly 400,000 foreign tourists purchased tickets to the resort area during the first quarter of 2025, helping the resort earn nearly US$19 million, an increase of more than 13 per cent compared to Q1 2024, while the revenue from ticket sales at other locations was approximately more than US$1 million.

A press release issued on April 2 said that from January to March 2025, 398,531 foreign tourists purchased tickets to visit Angr Resort, an increase of 14.67 percent compared to the same period in 2024. $72 million, an increase of 13.22 percent.

The press release also said that apart from selling tickets to the resort, the institution also earned an additional revenue of US$1.08 million from foreign visitors buying tickets to visit the Koh Kor temple site, Boeng Ma La, Phnom Kha Bridge and boat tickets at Chong Kiet Pier (Siem Reap province).

Angkor is a public administrative institution established in 2016 under the technical guardianship of the Ministry of Tourism and under the financial guardianship of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The ticket price to visit Angkor Resort is divided into 3 types: 1-day ticket costs 37 USD, 3-day ticket costs 62 USD and 7-day ticket costs 72 USD.

Chairman of the Angkor Tour Guide Association, Mr. Khieu T., told Phnom Penh Post on April 3 that during the high season from October 2024 to early April 2025, the number of foreign tourists visiting ancient temples and resorts in Siem Reap province has indeed increased compared to the past few years.Before 2020 (the world meets the COVID-19 crisis) is not yet equal.

In order to facilitate the Organisers, the Organisers have recently launched automatic ticketing machines for 1-day tours, while the 3-day and 7-day tickets are required for foreign visitors to purchase tickets at the Organisers ticket office as before.

There are 3 automatic ticket machines, namely at the Ngor Facility (the current ticketing location), at Pawiang, and at Hera Tekwok Shopping Mall.

In 2024, 1.02 million foreign tourists purchased tickets to the resort, an increase of 28 percent compared to 2023.
