The Ministry of structure and Transport said that the section of National Road No. 6 from a piece in front of Angkor- Siem Reap International Airport to Siem Reap City will be expanded to four lanes to grease sightseer business.
The road enhancement design was presented by HE Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of structure and Transport, at a news conference at the Government Spokesman’s Unit on October 27.
“ The road from the new field to Siem Reap is going to be expanded from two to four, and in some sections to 6 lanes with 16 kilometers long, which is under concession for construction, ” he said.
The design comes because the construction of theUS$ 880- million Angkor- Siem Reap International Airport has been completed further than 44 percent and is listed to operate in October coming time.
