Joseph R. Biden Jr., President of the United States of America, confirmed his trip to Cambodia to attend the US-ASEAN Summit and the East Asia Summit.
According to a White House press statement from October 28, the US President will be in Phnom Penh for the two annual summits on November 12-13.
In Cambodia, the same source pointed out, he will reaffirm the United States enduring commitment to Southeast Asia and ASEAN centrality and build on the success of the historic US-ASEAN Special Summit in Washington, DC.
The statement added that the president will underscore the importance of US-ASEAN cooperation in ensuring security and prosperity in the religion and the well-being of its combined one billion people.
As President of ASEAN for 2022, Cambodia will host the 40th and 41st ASEAN summits and related summits from November 8 to 13.
