Ms. Om Sokunthea, MGC manager, expressed her disappointment at seeing people continue to post and share the MGI program held in Thailand after Cambodia was recently stripped of its hosting rights.

After seeing some Cambodian fans sharing the above program, Ms. Um Sokunthea said, "Don't even watch the program. Even if you swipe to see it, you'll skip it. I don't understand what people are doing by sharing it from the program. It's a shame for House Number 2. They blocked a whole country. We followed the program and they posted it all over again."
In a particularly outrageous incident, a Facebook account posted a harsh comment to Ms. Um Sokunthea, saying, "Don't be upset. The comments only show negative points. How about you, they are attacking and mocking you for your money and time, considering that it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, and you don't even dare to sue them, don't you understand?"
Responding to this comment, Ms. Um Sokunthea immediately stated that she doesn't mind talking negatively, but what will they get in return if they post the program? She asked, "If they dare to say that they cheated you out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, what will they do if they don't do anything?"
She continued, “Suing is not as easy as you think. If this problem is not resolved easily, it will cause major problems between countries. Each lawsuit costs tens of thousands of dollars and takes a lot of time.” She further stated that as for the money, she is willing to give it up. She is not stupid, but let’s not get involved in each other’s affairs anymore. What they want is not prosperity.”
It is worth noting that after the controversial incident, Ms. Um Sokunthea, the manager of the Miss Grand Cambodia 2024 program, had previously announced her determination to do everything she could to prevent Miss Grand from taking place in Cambodia in future years.
