With a renowned reputation for producing some of the best turquoise in Southeast Asia, Cambodia's turbine industry is poised for growth, especially export potential to China.
However, growers must meet certain conditions, both the Care and Good Agricultural Practices (CamGAP) issue, in order to receive substantial investment.

Mr. Kim Finan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Agriculture, said that all fresh rice imports from Cambodia to the Chinese market must absolutely comply with the conditions of the Cambodian Good Agricultural Practice (CamGAP).
Growers are required to register, inspect the plantations, processing and packaging plants to ensure sanitation in accordance with the technical procedures outlined in the protocol that Cambodia signed with the Chinese side last April.

Challenges and Opportunities for Community Growers
While expectations for exports are booming, the cultivation of turmeric remains a vigorous endeavor.
Ms. Pat Panni, the owner of a durant ranch in Brown Devil's Nest, Shangthang District, Kampong Cham District, said that in 2025, her tuna yielded almost three times more than last year.
