The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the National Committee for Management and Development of Tourism and Ecotourism Communities and relevant ministries, will organize the "4th National Ecotourism Forum" from November 24-25, 2022, at Sak Siem Reap Hotel, Siem Reap.
A notice from the Ministry of Tourism dated November 17 said that the National Ecotourism Forum is a major annual event for the eco-tourism and community tourism sector that will involve all stakeholders, including the public, private, national, and international organizations and development partners, especially the tourism and ecotourism communities across the country.
The notice continues: "This annual forum will provide an opportunity to showcase the work outcomes relevant to the tourism and eco-tourism community, raise challenges and discuss various solutions and strategies in the spirit of sharing, engaging and taking responsibility for the work of the tourism, eco-tourism and tourism community.
Through this forum, the Ministry of Tourism also appeals to the public, tourism associations, tourism and eco-tourism communities, tourism operators, national and international organizations, development partners, and all stakeholders who are interested in participating or wishing to share the work results and results of various research.
Ecotourism is a responsible tourism that promotes the conservation of nature and sustains the livelihoods of local citizens.
The president of the Asia-Pacific Tourism Association, Thuan Sinan, told The Post on November 18 that the National Ecotourism Forum is important to showcase products and connect the tourism sector in Cambodia.
He stated: "This annual forum is really important because, apart from helping to promote tourism products, it also helps connect networks between stakeholders in the tourism sector.
Apparently, the recreation area in the tourism community, which is a natural submerged forest area and a historical site, in the Bo Ao Sai district, is receiving a lot of attention from tourists.
This Ramsarn area is a potential tourism area thanks to the richness of many islands such as Han Island, Limestone Island, Sam Khun Island, Rabbit Island, and Pu Thao Island, and these areas are mostly rich in interesting tourists, rich in scenic forests, and have been attracting tourists to visit and explore many historical stories.
The Bo O Swai Memorial Strip was built from 1963 to 1967 under the auspices of His Majesty the King in order to protect the integrity of the northern territory adjacent to Laos.
