Two More Arrested After Violent £1M Watch Raid on Nottinghamshire Home

Police in the UK have arrested two more suspects following a terrifying armed robbery at a luxury home in Kimberley, Nottinghamshire, where masked intruders allegedly attacked a homeowner and stole nearly £1 million worth of valuables.

The violent raid saw a group of men dressed in dark clothing force their way into the property while armed with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe, according to investigators.

Homeowner Allegedly Attacked During Raid

Authorities said the male homeowner tried to confront the intruders but was struck on the back and knee with a sledgehammer before being pinned down on a sofa.

The attackers reportedly demanded access to valuables and threatened further violence unless the victim handed over keys to a safe.

Police say the gang then loaded a large number of luxury watches into a sack before continuing their search through the property.

Wife Dragged Upstairs

During the ordeal, the homeowner’s wife was allegedly dragged upstairs and forced to reveal where additional valuables were stored.

Investigators said the suspects also stole luxury designer handbags, a mobile phone, and a purse containing bank cards.

The robbery has shocked the local community due to both the level of violence and the high value of the stolen items.

Luxury Watches and Designer Goods Taken

Among the high-end watches reportedly stolen were:

  • Audemars Piguet Royal Oak QP Perpetual Calendar
  • Rolex “Platona” Daytona Cosmograph
  • Omega Speedmaster “Snoopy” 50th Anniversary
  • Matching Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “London” Edition watches

Designer handbags from brands including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, and Dior were also taken during the raid.

Seven Arrests Made So Far

Nottinghamshire Police previously arrested four men aged 18, 21, 23, and 24, along with a 33-year-old woman, in connection with the investigation. All were released on conditional bail.

Two additional suspects were arrested on Friday, May 8:

  • A 35-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery
  • A 31-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery

Both men were also released on conditional bail pending further investigation.

Police Continue Investigation

Detective Constable James Gill of Nottinghamshire Police said investigators are still appealing for information from the public.

Authorities believe additional witnesses or evidence could help progress the case as inquiries continue into the organized robbery.

The incident highlights growing concerns around high-value targeted burglaries involving luxury watches and designer goods across the UK.
