11 Arrested in Crackdown on BTS Concert Ticket Scalping in Busan
South Korean authorities have arrested 11 individuals during a large-scale operation targeting illegal ticket resales at a recent BTS world tour concert in Busan, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat ticket scalping in the country's entertainment industry.

In one case, a woman in her 40s allegedly sold a ticket originally priced at 220,000 won (approximately $160) for 680,000 won (around $495) after arranging the transaction online.
Authorities said multiple local sellers used similar methods, with tickets reportedly being resold for prices ranging between 350,000 and 550,000 won.
Police believe the transactions were conducted shortly before the concert, when demand for entry was at its highest.
Foreign Nationals Also Implicated
The crackdown also uncovered several cases involving foreign nationals.
One woman was allegedly caught assisting concertgoers by transferring admission wristbands, a method often used to bypass official ticket verification procedures.
Another suspect reportedly used materials to remove and reattach wristbands in an attempt to facilitate unauthorized entry for multiple attendees.
Investigators stated that some suspects initially denied wrongdoing before later admitting involvement during questioning.

All 11 individuals detained during the operation received penalties under local regulations governing minor offenses.
