His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni was present at the inauguration ceremony of His Majesty the King and the Khmer Rouge Research and Conservation Institute, as well as various achievements in the monastery on the morning of February 17.
His Holiness said that the monastery is the birthplace of the Buddha's virtue and is also the place that gave birth to the Khmer dictionary through the immense sacrifice of the royal monk Joan Nat throughout his lifetime.
His Majesty continued that the monastery has become an inseparable force between the daily life journey of Khmer citizens and the development of the national society, making the monastery and society one.
From ancient times until now, Khmer Buddhist monasteries have made significant contributions to society, such as the promotion and cultivation of morality and virtue, which are part of Buddhist ethics, making Khmer society harmonious both religious and social.
Khmer monasteries have become a place of physical and mental education, building human resources to have all kinds of knowledge.
His Holiness said: "Khmer monasteries are a repository for preserving a rich cultural heritage, traditions, and knowledge, which provide value for inexhaustible research and research.
The monasteries help to provide accommodation, and vegetarians to learn general knowledge to those in need, some of whom have become leaders of all ranks in the service of the state.
His Holiness also praised the Cambodian leadership, including Senate President Hun Sen, who has revived Buddhism and Khmer monasteries.
His Holiness also mentioned the appropriate policies of the Government led by Prime Minister Hun Manet that have made the society prosperous and stable, especially that no individual can insult or insult Buddhism.
