Provincial Governor: Khmer citizens can sing the national flag salute to Khmer temples as usual!!!!

Utah Mean Chey: After encouraging citizens to visit Tam Thanh temples as the situation returns to normal, the Governor of Utah Mean Chey Province, Me Chan Yada, said on February 19 that Khmer citizens are free to create fun activities and sing the national anthem as usual.
He stated: "Despite such incidents, our authorities have not prevented the singing of the national flag and Khmer royal anthems.
He said that such minor incidents only occur every time after encountering problems, the border forces of the two countries coordinate and discuss with each other according to the working mechanism of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
Mr. Chanyada told Phnom Penh Post: "Usually, the temple is an ancient Khmer temple site that citizens often visit and sometimes they have various activities, such as singing songs to respect the national flag and the Khmer Rouge."
He said yesterday that the situation at the Tamil temple was normal and encouraged citizens to visit the Khmer Temple.
Mr. Chanyada said in the video clip for more than a minute that he led a delegation of the provincial administration team to the Cambodian Taman temple and confirmed that at 3:10 p.m., the situation in the Taman temple was abnormal.
Taman Thom Temple is located on the hill of Dang Riek, Taman Kum Kok Mon Village, Fort Ampol District, Utah Mean Chey Province, which is 48 km from the city center.
The provincial governor stated to the Thai soldiers: "We are okay, we are chatting for the sake of our two countries.
The hot-eyed fact is that Thai soldiers banned the singing of songs respecting the Khmer people's flag on February 13 at the Taman temple.
According to Thailand's The Nation, Thailand's 2nd Cambodian Armed Forces on Tuesday sent a letter of protest to Cambodia's 4th Military Command over the inappropriate treatment of Cambodian soldiers and people at the Tam Thom Thom Temple, claiming that it was an ancient Khmer temple in the territory of Thailand's Surin province.
The Thai press also reported that the 2nd Cambodian Military Corps has appealed to the Cambodian authorities to advise tourists visiting the main temple to respect the law and avoid any inappropriate acts to maintain positive relations between Thailand and Cambodia.
According to the Commissioner of the Provincial Police Department, on February 18, 2025, the Border Guard Colonel 702-905 will cooperate with the Military Force to patrol the Siamese Pole along the Cambodia-Thailand border to prevent illegal border smuggling or other offenses.
