Palestinian delegation explores the process of the Special Economic Zone in Cambodia to develop the State of Palestine!!!

The
Palestinian authorities and private sector concluded a visit to Cambodia to learn about the progress of the Special Economic Zone, which is part of Japan's initiative to establish a permanent Palestinian state with a sustainable economic system.

According to the Embassy of Japan, during their visit to Cambodia, the Palestinian delegation visited the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (PPSEZ) and exchanged views with officials from the Council for the Development of Cambodia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The Embassy of Japan stated: "We are pleased that this is our collective effort under the Japan-Cambodia Strategic Partnership to address the common challenges of the international community."

The Embassy also informed that the Government of Japan established the "Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for the Development of Palestine" in 2013 and Cambodia became a member of the Conference in 2024.

In 2012, the Japanese government also established a park in the Jericho area in the West Bank called "Jericho Industrial Park" to form a model for a sustainable economy in Palestine.

Kim Pha, President of the Institute of International Relations of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, stated that Cambodia has contributed to finding a solution to the crisis in the Middle East, especially the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The visit of the Palestinian delegation shows Cambodia's support for the Palestinian authorities as well as the Palestinian people.
