According to a press release issued by the spokesperson of the Sihanoukville Provincial Court of First Instance dated January 9, 2025, the 10 Taiwanese Chinese men include Lin Yang Hong, Li Chong Hui, Zhen Ming Jian, Tsai Yi Tsung, Chen Te Jen, Chen Wei Yu, Tsai Cheng Wen, Yu Wen Wu, Liao Cheng Wei, and Shen Yuan Lung.
The court also set a fine of 100 million riels each and confirmed that all the drugs had been destroyed.
In July 2022, the forces of the Anti-Narcotics Department cracked down on the case at two locations in Sihanoukville, including the first location in Village 3, Sangkat No. 3 and the second location in South Stung Chai Village, Kampong Sila District.
Apart from more than 14 Tonnes of chemicals and chemical compounds, the Task Force also confiscated 50 units of reactors, 7 units of reactors, 3 generators, 5 units of reactors, 1 lobe motor, 298 tank shells and many other related materials.
In a separate case, the Sihanoukville Provincial Court of First Instance on January 9 charged a Chinese national named Yang Li with illegally producing, trafficking and storing narcotic substances weighing a total of 48 kilograms at a house in Bori BS or 5 in Village 5, District 4.
The case was suppressed on January 2, 2025.
