Buddhist institution proposes action against individuals who say "monkhood is a burden to the locals"

In a separate statement on January 27, 2025, the Cambodian Buddhist Association and the Supreme Council of Sangha expressed concern and condemned the Facebook account "Tev Sakhi Bhagavan Association" which has positioned itself as a Dharma expounder by deviating from the original content of the Buddha's teachings and distorting beliefs, thereby harming Buddhism. However, "Tev Sakhi Bhagavan Association" issued a statement claiming that its association was legally established and is not involved in politics or any extremist group that could harm social security.
