Phnom Penh News: The Ministry of Environment has installed 24-hour air quality monitoring devices at 60 locations across provincial capitals and 10 locations in Phnom Penh, while data shows that air quality in Cambodia is good, below the red line that cannot be considered a problem. This is according to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Environment.

The installation of the device comes as some commentators have expressed concerns about the air, with fog falling in recent days.

Mr. Khwai Aditya, spokesperson for the Ministry of Environment, gave an interview to reporters on the afternoon of January 23, 2025, saying that the haze in Cambodia is not related to and has not caused an increase in the amount of toxic air. He continued that the increase in air pollutants in Cambodia has not reached the red line that requires measures to be taken for citizens to be careful not to leave their homes or wear masks in public places.
