A Vietnamese man arrested after pouring petrol on his mother alive!!!

Vietnam News: Police in Tra Vinh province, southern Vietnam, said on Tuesday that a man who burned his mother has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on February 24 when 21-year-old Duong Quoc Trung poured gasoline on his mother, Nguyễn Ngọc Phuong Lan, 45, and set himself on fire.

Nearby witnesses immediately intervened, using fire hoses to extinguish the fire, but however, Trung reportedly chased them away and prevented them from approaching to help the victims.

Eventually, the neighbors kicked the offender out and sent the victim to a local hospital for emergency treatment.

The police immediately arrived at the scene of the incident after receiving the information and detained Trung and a drug test was checked, but the results were found to be negative.

Initial investigations revealed that the offender had once gone to work away from home but returned to live with his mother, a lottery seller, in January.

Witnesses said that he had recently been showing signs of severe depression and had frequent clashes with his mother.
